This client is a marketleading risk managed sales promotion agency. They work with blue chip clients to develop, launch, and run sales promotions on the international stage.

They are looking for an experienced designer to join their Digital team based in Gateshead, where you will lead the design and UX for all websites they deliver, which includes working for the world's largest tech brands including Samsung, Google, Huawei, Microsoft, and more. In addition, you will design the interfaces of their core internal product and support delivery of UX improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an agency environment and will have worked closely with UX/frontend developers to implement your design vision.

Who You'll Be

The essentials you should have experience with include:

  • Fluent in applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, InVision, Zeplin & Sketch
  • Able to consider UX when designing
  • Able to create web based visuals for desktop/tablet/mobile viewports
  • Experience working with corporate brand guidelines
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Experience with the below would be advantageous, but not essential:

  • Understanding of accessibility on the web (e.g. contrast ratios)
  • Able to storyboard flows through multiple step processes (e.g. web page transitions)
  • Able to design brand collateral including logos, business cards and brand guidelines
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS

While most of your time will be spent designing websites and applications, you will also be involved in supporting the marketing team. As such, experience with print media design such as flyers or pop up stands, and other sales/marketing material including business cards, presentations, and videos, would be advantageous.

The Environment

Growth of their people is a core value to them; they understand that your learning is never finished, which is why you'll be given a generous annual Personal Development Budget to spend on books, training courses, conferences, and more.

In addition, they sponsor local meetups, and encourage their team to take part in regular internal conference days.

  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Pension scheme
  • Great starting salary
  • Opportunity for progression
  • Flexible Time
