Our client is the world's foremost provider of flange management and completions enablement solutions to the global oil and gas market.

They are seeking to recruit a Front-End Software Developer. The role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced software developer to work on projects within their portfolio in the oil and gas industry. The candidate will need to be dynamic and be able to deliver to the highest standards.  

Working as part of their software development team, you will be working closely with designers, testers, and subject matter experts within the business to support the delivery and ongoing support of their software products.

Who You’ll Be

  • Participate in requirements analysis

  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture

  • Write clean, scalable code

  • Test and deploy applications and systems

  • Revise, update, refactor and debug your own and other people's code

  • Improve existing software and code

  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

  • Support and maintain existing systems

  • Provide constructive feedback to team mates

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimise application for speed and scalability

  • Assure all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Experience

  • Experience of working with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Vue or React

  • Experience using TypeScript

  • Strong understanding of design / architectural patterns

  • Extensive knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3

  • Working with RestAPIs

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • Proven experience working in agile development environment and preferably in a DevOps

  • Experience of working with SaaS products

  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with popular web application frameworks

  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principals

  • Writing reusable libraries

  • Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds

  • Familiarity with image editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop is a plus

  • Experience building mobile applications using web technologies

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience

  • 3 years of practical experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working with large / complex software solutions
