They are seeking experienced PHP developers to grow their expanding development team in Howden, East Yorkshire. The company is rapidly growing its web capability and needs hardworking developers to take the online business to another level.

The Role

We are looking for a PHP developer with at least 2 years of experience in backend web development. You will be required to learn and contribute to a wide variety of business critical systems which run on Linux based frameworks. In addition to the list of skills below the candidate should have experience of crafting and modifying large scale, highly transactional systems using recognised development procedures such as test driven development, documentation techniques and version control.

You will also have the opportunity to grow into a Senior Developer or Team Leader role.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Object Oriented Programming knowledge
  • Good experience in backend web development with PHP
  • MySQL or other RDBMS
  • Good knowledge of version control systems
  • Experience developing in MVC frameworks is desirable
  • Experience with the following technologies: Puppet, Vagrant, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, Varnish, and/or Elasticsearch is desirable

  • Be an excellent communicator within the team and within the rest of the business
