Senior Developer Ronald James Group 2019-06-21

Our client is a product and service design agency focused on the user.

Their creativity, agility and technical expertise combine to deliver digital interactions that work for everyone. They design and build the interaction layer between users and technology.

Headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, they have offices in Edinburgh, Sheffield and a consultancy in London. Agile teams join client partners on location.

They continue to recruit month-on-month to facilitate ambitious new projects, alongside continued working with organisations such as Racing Point Force India, HMRC, Joules, Barbour, DWP, ChooseCare and the NHS.

The ability to simplify complexities and steer projects with perspective comes with experience, something the Technical Director values in his search for a team lead.

With every project undertaken, new ground is covered by their technical team. So as their force grows in both skills and size, they need a seasoned developer in their Newcastle city-centre HQ - someone to be a trusted and crucial component, with an innate ability to innovate.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborating with the User Experience and Design teams, you will take a leadership role in a progressive workforce and manage projects in a reactive environment.

From agile web builds to software launches, apps on Apple Watch to BBC Hackathons, you'll be helping to transform the way brands and organisations (such as Philips, the NHS, Aston Martin Racing, HMRC, and Barbour) do business, globally.

  • 5+ years' technical work experience

  • Skilled in suite of modern languages (.NET, Java, Scala, Clojure, iOS, Android +)

  • Outstanding programming skills

  • Experience of cloud platforms including AWS/Azure

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and web frameworks such as Sitecore, Sitefinity, Kentico, Drupal, Umbraco

  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Pension scheme
  • Great starting salary
  • Opportunity for progression
  • Flexible Time
  • Home Working
