We're working with an innovative AI technology company looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to work directly with clients, building, deploying and managing AI agents that automate real business operations.

You'll work closely with senior technical leadership, taking ownership of AI solutions from initial client requirements through to deployment and ongoing production support. The role combines technical problem-solving, client interaction and hands-on AI development, with the opportunity to influence product improvements and take on greater responsibility as the team expands.

Please note: This is a UK remote role, with quarterly team days in Newcastle. Travel and accommodation for these meetings are covered, and London co-working facilities are available.

Some of the responsibilities:

• Build, configure and deploy AI agents to solve real-world business challenges for clients.

• Translate client requirements into practical AI solutions, taking projects from initial brief through testing and production deployment.

• Conduct structured testing and evaluations using real-world data to ensure AI agents perform reliably.

• Monitor and maintain live AI agents, investigating issues, reviewing execution logs and resolving technical problems.

• Manage client interactions, including demonstrations, walkthroughs and regular progress meetings.

• Take ownership of client accounts as you develop within the role, ensuring successful delivery and ongoing relationships.

• Work closely with technical leadership to identify opportunities for product improvements based on client feedback and production performance.

• Improve and automate internal delivery processes using AI tools and agent-based workflows.

• Collaborate with AI-powered systems and automated processes to improve delivery efficiency and quality.

• Ensure completed AI solutions are thoroughly tested, documented and successfully handed over to clients.

Some of the requirements:

• Experience working in a technical, client-facing role, delivering and supporting technology solutions.

• Strong practical understanding of APIs, JSON, webhooks and technical logs.

• Hands-on experience building solutions using AI tools and platforms.

• A genuine interest in AI development, with personal projects or examples of AI solutions you've built.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, interpret execution logs and resolve problems effectively.

• Experience working with technical platforms, integrations and automation tools.

• Confident in communicating with clients, delivering demonstrations and explaining technical concepts clearly.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of technical challenges independently.

• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when testing and validating AI-generated outputs.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes and technologies continue to evolve.

• Ability to balance technical delivery with client relationship management and ongoing production support.
