About this role:

We’re working with a company within the fintech industry who are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and enhance their technology infrastructure. This role is key in ensuring reliability, security and efficiency across all IT systems while aligning technology with wider business goals.

You’ll be responsible for managing systems, networks, software and cybersecurity frameworks – ensuring seamless performance and compliance. This position offers autonomy, a collaborative environment and the opportunity to shape the company’s IT strategy and infrastructure roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance and upgrades of hardware systems including servers, workstations and networking equipment.

  • Manage Microsoft-based environments (Windows Servers, Microsoft 365).

  • Ensure optimal performance of firewalls, routers, switches and network components.

  • Administer and support internal phone systems and maintain seamless communication across departments.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot printer systems.
    Manage renewals of IT-related equipment and software contracts.

  • Maintain the company’s IT asset register.

  • Oversee cloud service management.

  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to safeguard company data and systems.

  • Monitor threat intelligence and respond promptly to security incidents.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and security regulations.

  • Create, update and enforce IT policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain system integrity.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers.

  • Evaluate and onboard new technology partners to support business growth.

  • Manage enterprise applications and software licences.

  • Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams.

  • Resolve complex IT issues efficiently.

  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve business operations.
