We’re supporting a well-established organisation who are looking for an experienced Lead Front-End Developer to join their growing digital team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading projects, mentoring others, and shaping technical direction across modern web platforms.

About the Role

You’ll take ownership of delivering high-quality web solutions, overseeing a small team of developers, and setting technical standards across the function. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and wider digital stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and performant websites and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and full-cycle development of web applications

• Support and guide a small development team in their day-to-day work

• Build modern, maintainable solutions using .NET and front-end technologies

• Set coding standards, perform code reviews, and ensure best practices

• Mentor developers to support their growth and capability

• Manage incoming tickets, incidents, and workload allocation

• Ensure web applications are secure, responsive, accessible, and high-performing

• Identify improvement opportunities across systems, workflows, and tooling

Some of the requirements:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• 5+ years’ experience in software development

• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, Razor, Entity Framework

• Excellent understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks (React/Vue is beneficial)

• Experience working with Umbraco CMS (v12+), including custom components and package development

• Confident working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and source control (Git)

• Knowledge of cloud hosting environments (e.g., Azure)
