We're working with a technology-driven organisation operating within the financial services sector, looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join their team in Newcastle.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, real-time, business-critical platforms, taking ownership of technical projects from initial design through to implementation and production. You'll play a key role in developing reliable, scalable solutions, making important technical decisions and supporting other engineers.

Please note: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the Newcastle office.

Some of the responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain applications using C#/.NET, React, TypeScript and SQL Server.

• Take ownership of complex technical projects, from initial requirements and architecture through to testing, deployment and ongoing support.

• Build and maintain APIs, integrations and database solutions, ensuring performance, security and reliability.

• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, API and front-end tests.

• Work with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.

• Investigate and resolve application, integration and production issues, improving monitoring and system reliability.

• Collaborate with Product, QA and Support teams to define requirements, identify risks and deliver effective technical solutions.

• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, reduce technical debt and enhance development practices.

• Provide technical guidance, code reviews and mentorship to other engineers.

• Contribute to technical design decisions, ensuring solutions remain scalable, maintainable and secure.

Some of the requirements:

• Strong commercial experience developing and supporting applications using C# and .NET.

• Solid full-stack development skills, particularly React, TypeScript, SQL Server and HTTP APIs.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, relational database design and automated testing.

• Experience working with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to design and develop services, APIs and integrations within complex software environments.

• Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture and real-time applications.

• Experience diagnosing production issues and improving application performance, monitoring and reliability.

• Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges and make independent architectural and design decisions.

• Strong understanding of software security, resilience, data integrity and maintainability.

• Confident communicator who can collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentor other developers.

• Experience with RabbitMQ, SignalR, Entity Framework or Azure services would be advantageous.
