Senior User Experience Designer Ronald James Group 2026-05-11

About the job

We’re partnered with an early-stage, venture-backed technology business operating at the forefront of AI-driven search and digital discovery.

As generative AI platforms continue to reshape how users access information, this company is developing a product that enables brands to better understand, optimise and strengthen their presence across emerging AI search environments.

Backed by established investors and experienced leadership, the team is entering a high-growth phase and is looking to hire a founding-level Product / UX Designer to own and shape the end-to-end user experience.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to define how the product looks, feels and functions. You’ll work directly with founders and engineers to design intelligent, AI-powered experiences that simplify complex datasets and search insights into intuitive user journeys. From design systems to interaction frameworks, you’ll play a key role in shaping both the product and the wider design culture as the company grows.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the full UX and product design lifecycle — from discovery to delivery
  • Designing intuitive interfaces for AI-driven search and data visualisation products
  • Creating and scaling a design system and visual language from scratch
  • Turning complex AI outputs into clear, actionable user experiences
  • Collaborating closely with engineering for pixel-perfect implementation
  • Influencing product strategy alongside founders

Qualifications

  • Strong Product / UX Design background within SaaS, AI or data platforms

Required Skills

  • Experience designing for complex systems, workflows or insights tools
  • Exposure to AI-first products or machine-learning interfaces
  • Hands-on experience using Lovable within design / product workflows
  • Deep understanding of user journeys, interaction design and usability
  • Ability to think in systems — not just individual screens
  • Comfortable in fast-moving startup environments
