The Role

A growing technology business is looking for a skilled SysOps / DevOps Engineer to help build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure underpinning its platforms. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, automation, and performance.

You will play a key role in ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and highly available in a fast-paced, real-time environment. Working closely with engineering, product, and external partners, you will support robust infrastructure and smooth deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and scale both cloud infrastructure and on-premise environments

• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Maintain secure and resilient network infrastructure, including connectivity with third-party providers

• Ensure platform reliability through effective alerting and incident response

• Monitor system performance and collaborate with QA and technical teams to drive continuous improvement

• Support efficient development and release practices alongside engineering and product teams

• Troubleshoot production issues in a time-sensitive environment

• Implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tooling, and standards

• Explore and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and monitoring capabilities

• Provide support for global users across multiple time zones

Required Skill Set

• Solid understanding of infrastructure, system administration, and deployment workflows

• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure, networking, and private network connectivity

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including security principles

• Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools

• Understanding of web hosting platforms (e.g. IIS, Nginx)

• Familiarity with high-availability or real-time systems (experience in financial services environments advantageous)

• Exposure to or interest in AI-assisted tooling for scripting, automation, or monitoring
