Senior DevOps Engineer Ronald James Group 2023-10-10

This is an opportunity to join an organisation in the IGaming industry, they are currently in a state of hyper-growth and there has never been a better time to join. This is a critical role that will help manage and drive continuous improvement to the Platform through program management processes and frameworks including tools, templates, strategy/planning, meetings, metrics/goals, partner onboarding, and training.

Some of the responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines using modern automation tools and best practices.

  • Implement and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and cost optimization.

  • Administer and maintain Linux-based environments, providing system support and troubleshooting as needed.

  • Utilize Kubernetes and CNCF technologies to orchestrate and manage containerized applications in production environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance software development and delivery processes.

  • Monitor and analyze system performance, resolving issues promptly to maintain uptime and stability.

  • Continuously research and integrate new tools, technologies, and best practices to optimize development, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, process guides, and system configurations.

Some of the requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a focus on automation tools, AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes/CNCF technologies.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.

  • Expertise in Linux administration, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes and CNCF technologies, with a deep understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts.

  • Experience with popular automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, or Terraform.

  • Experience with monitoring tools like ELK, DataDog, etc.

  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.

  • Previous experience in iGaming/iGambling industry

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience working with in-house development teams, 3rd party application developers, and solution providers.

  • Multi-tasking, including working on multiple concurrent projects, self-manage workload within defined priorities
